What is the Guardian 100 and who are the panellists who create it?



The MediaGuardian 100 is our annual guide to the most powerful people in the industry. Candidates are judged on three criteria - their cultural, economic and political influence in the UK.The list was takes in all sectors of the media, including broadcasting, publishing, new media, advertising, marketing and PR.

How would you assess the balance of power in this list and why do you think it is this way?
I think that the balance of power in this list is not equal at all, as there is far more men in power than women, this can be seen as patriarchal and very male dominated. This however may be because there are much more sucsessful men in Britain then women which obviously therefore effects the balance of power.
